Booking Terms
These terms apply to reservations made directly through the KIRAKU ONSEN LIVING website (/en/reserve).

Cancellation policy
Cancellation fees use Japan time: no fee until 23:59 eight days before arrival; 30% of the room rate from seven to two days before arrival; 50% the day before; and 100% on arrival day or for no-shows. Open “Manage your booking” in your confirmation email and verify the email address used for your booking. Review the cancellation fee and refund amount, then confirm cancellation. Cancellation and any refund to the original card are processed automatically. The booking page shows cancellation and refund status separately, and we also email the results. The time a refund appears on your statement depends on your card issuer. Cancellation fees are fixed when the server accepts your final cancellation confirmation, using Japan time. Any fractional yen in the cancellation fee is rounded up to the next whole yen. Any refundable amount after the cancellation fee is automatically returned to the original payment method, limited to the amount paid less prior refunds. No additional refund handling fee is imposed.
Bathing tax and other charges
The room rate shown includes the Yamagata City bathing tax (nyuto-zei). The new Yamagata City accommodation tax (3% of the room rate) takes effect on April 1, 2027. How it applies to bookings at this hotel will be announced separately once finalized ahead of that date.
Child rates
A child’s age is determined on the check-in date (Japan time). [Rooms opening from 2027] A child aged 0–6 who uses bedding (a futon, bed, etc.) is charged the room rate as one guest using bedding. Children aged 7 and older are charged the same rate as adults using bedding. Limits per room: One-Bedroom Apartment: up to 3 guests using bedding; Two-Bedroom Apartment: up to 6 guests using bedding; Twin Room with Sofa Bed: up to 3 guests using bedding; Single Room with Sofa Bed: up to 2 guests using bedding; Spacious Japanese-Western Room: up to 6 guests using bedding. A child aged 0–6 who shares the bedding of other guests, without additional bedding, stays free of charge (bedding and amenities are not included). Limits for bed-sharing children and total guests: One-Bedroom Apartment: up to 2 bed-sharing children, 5 guests in total; Two-Bedroom Apartment: up to 2 bed-sharing children, 8 guests in total; Twin Room with Sofa Bed: up to 2 bed-sharing children, 5 guests in total; Single Room with Sofa Bed: up to 1 bed-sharing children, 3 guests in total; Spacious Japanese-Western Room: up to 2 bed-sharing children, 8 guests in total. Bookings exceeding these limits cannot be accepted. [All other rooms] Children aged 0–6 stay free of charge (sharing existing bedding); bedding and amenities are not included, and children aged 7 and older are charged the adult rate. All children must be included in the room occupancy count when booking — bookings exceeding a room’s maximum occupancy cannot be accepted. Direct bookings are for room only, without meals.
Payment
New direct bookings require full payment of the room rate by card during the booking process. Your booking is not formally confirmed until payment and the booking details have been verified.
Check-in / check-out
Check-in is from 15:00 to 24:00, and check-out is at 10:00.
